ABOUT PAT APPLE
Pat's father was a bricklayer by trade and his mother a pediatric nurse at Shawnee Mission Hospital. Moving to Louisburg at the beginning of his freshman year of high school, Pat soon discovered the benefits of a small town and the value of hard work. Summers that were spent putting up hay or working for his father in the construction business left a life long impression and a strong work ethic. Pat graduated from Louisburg High School in 1975. Two years later he married his high school sweetheart, Debbie. They have two daughters.
Following high school, Pat had his eyes set on becoming an electrician. He was able to gain employment and entered apprenticeship school in Kansas City. Pat and Debbie began Apple Electric in 1983. The business began with one pickup and working out of their garage. In 1988, Pat and Debbie sold half of their business to former co-worker and friend Gary Schleicher. The company then became a corporation, Apple Electric, Inc. Currently, Apple Electric, Inc. is a profitable and vibrant business serving commercial and industrial accounts in the greater Kansas City area.
ELECTED OFFICE
- Kansas Senate District 12 January 2005 to present.
- Miami County District Four Commissioner, appointed by Governor Graves to serve a two year term, January 2003 to January 2005.
- Unified School District 416 Board of Education At-Large Position, served three terms (1991-2003), three years president and five years vice-president.
